Maggie deserved better than being made a thinly vieled renee replacement.
I really feel that the whole Catholicism angle was shoe-horned in there to add similar depth to her character as Renee, ie trying to…
I agree with a lot of this, and I’m really disappointed in this issue! I was SO looking forward to the Maggie issue because I love her, but I guess I was more expecting a Maggie-origin one-shot or something.
And maybe it was never explicitly mentioned before, but I could’ve sworn Maggie’s upbringing was Protestant. It’s just…there’s other types of religious guilt than just Catholic guilt. There are some Protestant denominations that are way harsher about the gay thing, actually. That part just kinda felt like a cop-out, I guess.

See, what bothers me about this isn’t that they boned in the communal kitchen while other people were in the house, or the fact that they made a huge mess, or even the fact that they decided to just fall asleep on the island when they were done like nobody was going to need breakfast at any point.
